Carnival music?!?!
    #4103671 - 04/27/05 07:12 PM (11 years, 7 months ago)

ok, so you know how carnival music is supposed to alter a normal persons sences??? you know fading in and out and whatnot... SO i'm thinking of maybe putting some on the next time i trip. I'm very interested in seeing how that works out. Has anyone ever done this? What do you think?

Can't say I do... is there some science behind this?

umm not so much... my sis and i had got into a discusion about it a few days ago, and it just got me thinking. It's the type of music you hear in a fun house or on a merry go round or something... it gets loud, fades in and out, is "wiggly" sounding. Since sound is altered when on shrooms i thought it might be something worth experimenting with...

Makes sense to me.. phasing effects and volume swells definitely fuck with you a good bit when tripping.

Give it a shot sometime and let us know how it goes.

I bet it'd be a lot more effective than that crappy brain wave generator.

You'd probably experience heightened spacial distortions, but I couldn't imagine listening to that music for too long. It's fun at the festivals but when I'm tripping, idk...

I get this effect just from listening to Phish's first album Junta, Disc 1, especially the song "Esther"...I thought I was on a carnival ride listening to it on acid.

try manu chao, especially the live album with radio bemba sound system. Its not exactly carnival music but I'd give it a try.

I love the "king of the bongos" when I'm tripping.

try listening to the song "shroomz" by xzibit, it's a rap song btw so for those that don't like it... tough. It's a good song though, the beats trip as fuck on shrooms. Have a go.

haha...phish does remind me a bit of the carnival

very crazy music for tripping...sometimes a bit too crazy if you don't want to explore their world with them
