Going to college in your late twenties
    #4103069 - 04/27/05 04:36 PM (11 years, 7 months ago)

Share your experiences with school in your mid to late twenties here.  I'm mid twenties and staring down a difficult 4 year tech degree that I just started.  I love the challenge, but it's something I'm wishing was completed right out of High School, instead of starting 7 years later.  Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't trade the last 7 years for anything, but it's always easy to feel way out of place in this sort of situation.  Also, it can be akward being the oldest person in class sometimes.

That's it, thanks  :mushroom2:

I am in my late 20s, and just recently returned to finish my college. I'm currently persuing my undergraduate studies, after which I will continue towards my PhD parttime while working.

You probably won't be the oldest person in the class. I've had some 40-50+ year olds in my calculus and differential equation classes. Being older will only help you with getting focused on the course work. It's not like you're that old anyways... 25-26, right?

plus you'll have expierences to bring in that aren't related to school in any way, it'll give you views that aren't just the instructors

I just got visions of the RA in my dorm hall when I was in school. He was about 30 and he definately seemed like a creepy dude!  But here I am, pushing 40, and I think how much fun it would be to move back into the dorms now and become the creepy guy!

College dorm life was a fucking blast!
