Mystcial experiences are just that, personal 'experiences' that the indivudal considers to be mystical, what is the problem with that, its not an assumption but an interpretation of experience.
I guess you missed the opening post of this thread.

But that was an act of deception intended to produce that exact response in a very naive person.

Swami to ex: "Hey baby, how weird is that? I was just thinking about you!"
Ex: "R-e-a-l-l-y?!"
For a start i had'nt thought about this girl in years beofre the day we bumped into each other. Secondly we were both thinking of each other at the exact same time before our meeting. Thirdly she no longer lives in my hometown and is just visiting breifly (3 weeks) . Lastly we were'nt even that close in high school (20 years ago) , although i did find her very attractive. So as you can see, the circumstances were very different from yours

On Blaine's levitation trick (standing on tip toes) at least three separate viewers who were totally awed, stated that he must be very spiritual and meditate a lot as they had read of "stuff" like that. After other tricks, many asked if he was a guru or advanced master.
Few commented that he was a skilled magician and entertainer.

Pfff. I've yet to meet anyone personally who does.. and in my many, many years on 'teh intarwab'.. I believe I've met exactly 1 person born on the same day as I.
However, the first airing of Monty Python over in England? same day I was born. Not the same year obviously, but.. yeah much better than sharing a birthday with someone else.

If you were unaware of this unintuitive statistical fact and found that out of the last four parties you attended twice you shared a birthday with someone, you might attribute it to something mystical.
Still, it would just be a statistical norm that isn't immediately apparent.
I'm not saying that mystical events don't occur, but I am saying that there's no evidence for them, and it's far more reasonable to believe coincidences are coincidences than they are mystical events.

Thats very sad, some people are very naive
What's sad is that most everybody is naive most of the time. Hence corporation after corporation plays the same accounting tricks time and time again fleecing America out of hundreds of billions with almost never a conviction. Don't get me started on the oil shell game or wars for democracy...
Blaine completely fools people with simple tricks in broad daylight at close range. Compare that to UFOs at night miles away.

He is interesting, but the psychology of the gullible audience is far more interesting (to me).
I watched him do the 360 degree hand/wrist rotation thing. It is so incredibly simple and yet people gasp in total amazement. (It is based upon a false assumption).

Yes people are naive about alot of stuff. That why we have to overcome out human-robot syndrome that seems to have infected almost the entire human race, if people were being more aware, there would be less problems of naivity.
Im not one for speculation, i just belive UFO's are exactly that UFO's, i don't see what the big deal is all about.

I agree... he blinds the sceptics. It is amazing, and he is very good at it.

mmm, I'm willing to believe the possibility that you picked up on her smell. Olfactory sense is the most mysterious, and triggers the most intense reactions from us (smelling something from 5 years back can have a most profound effect, no?)
You got a date...
I'm gonna try smelling out more girls.

Yeah im not ruling out the possibility. But im not going to say that becuase its far more romantic to say that it was some kind of divine, mystical intervention or whatnot
