My adventure... Good news in an unexpected way.

Hey ya'll, I had the coolest stroke of luck today, after hunting since the past fall and finding not one mushroom this spring. Driving along, I decided to take a detour and partake with an old friend, well, he wasn't home. When I rounded the corner comming out, I saw a heard of cows right in front of me! I circled around to find the farmers' house (like to ask permission). I turned down the dirt driveway, as I approached, I found the house abandoned My vehicle was in a natural hiding place amongst the trees and I could not be seen by anybody for miles. So I searched comfortably for about 45 Min's. and found nothing Grrr. Seeing as I am about to colonize bird seed, I figure this is my chance at free bulk sub (I'm evil, eh?) So, It's almost dark, I'm headin to the car to get a bag to collect when I flip an old pattie over and find it covered with pins So, I get home planning to research on storing composted poo ( I'm not ready to bulk) I have an idea about both:
The pinning pie I want to put it in an indoor (simulated) environment as the night time lows are in the upper 40's and highs around 60 ish. I'm thinking I will be able to induce healthy specimens fast enough where any contams and whatnot will not have time to have any effect say (3 days?) tops?
As for the other, it's pretty fresh and packed down in the bag (cow feed bag that the farmer seems to just cast over his shoulder to the wind, are all farmers like this?) and I packed some straw on top on my way out.
Now , I can't tell straw from hay or what not, but this is kinda yellow, looks kinda like cut grass with long stems (straws). I think I wanna go in the woods behind my house in the morning and dig a shallow hole and mix some of the straw and poo, put that down, cover with a layer of packed straw and then cover with leaves. Does this sound like a good idea? I think I would water lightly daily. It was very cool and exciting as this was my first real hunt be it woods or field, and this is where I run into them I know there's a lot of questions here, but I hope I can get answers or suggestions on all of them.
Thank ya'll for sharing your knowledge, this wouldn't have happened to me without it.

Something I wanted to share was that the cows kept following me pretty closely, even made me a little nervous, but I just kept to my business ( I kept thinkin about that page [shroomeydan's] I think) About cows and bulls, taught me to look for horns. The only set I saw looked juvenile, but there was a cow that stood 5'9" at the shoulder, that's a bit intimidating Everytime I bent over they would be right on me, I was expecting to get bucked or trampled any min
Happy Hunting ya'll

What part of the world do you live in? Sounds like a fun adventure, if you live in Florida or Texas they could be something nice
I know about the cows!! Just keep a sturdy mindset. Cows are dumb and unless you are afraid of them they will stay easy and calm. Horses are another story, I find it harder to battle wits with a horse, just because sometimes their presence is so dominating. Just take it steady and aware and they will ignore you. Sometimes they will come up and sniff you, let them and don't act intimidated and everything will be cool. Having permission to search makes it ten times easier in all cases.

I'm in SC. Aren't you too? I used to have all the sc members in my addy book, but lost contact. I bumped the sc thread to call attention to those here in sc. As for what they are, I'm almost sure they are cubes as they are still pins, they are white with red heads. Imma try to get a digi cam so's you can see them as they grow, 'course those pics. will be in GL&P

All I can think is that if you found a pinning pie then you'd best make your way back to that field sometime soon (after a rain?).

Yes, I definately will try, but I'm moving soon (to a better hunting area actually) So, the way I see it, I've scored from this field, I just gotta let 'em grow

Explain this simulated environment a tad bit more.
And yes, cows scare the shit out of me. First time I went shrooming it was with my jackass/stoned/tripping friends, and they decided they enjoy shining the lights into the cows' eyes and throwing things at them.

yea i agree, my worst experience, was when i was drunk, and using a zippo lighter for a light, and almost stepped on a cow, it freaked out and chased me.., but for the most part ive only delt with cows that want nothing to do with me,(usually run the other way)......
