Reading material for the can
    #4097577 - 04/25/05 10:42 PM (18 years, 11 months ago)

I usually don't take long shits. So if I bring a mag or something with me into the can I won't get too far into an article before I'm done. So sometimes, like early morning, or late night (like now, right after this post) I like to just bring a magazine or book into the shitter, do my business, and just read. I don't care if I'm done and nothing else is on its way out, I want to read damnit!

:laughs: I'm getting a laptop with wireless and that didn't even occur to me!! It's so going to happen!

As it is, I like to read my bathroom products. Toothpaste ingredients, soap directions, random shit.

Yeah same... I like to know what I'm rubbing in to my teeth and how to properly use my shampoo.

Lather, rinse and repeat. Always repeat.

Yeah, the shitting itself is very short. But I like to just relax, listen to nature outside, and read a little. It makes me feel alive.

Calvin and Hobbes or The Far Side comics are great on the can. You don't have to get too into them, one or two pages and you're all done. Although I usually just ponder life on the can.

True. Some of my most profound sober thoughts come to me while in the midst of the eternal struggle to push that last turd out.
