Myc popping through casing 24
    #4096308 - 04/25/05 07:27 PM (13 years, 28 days ago)

I have wbs and brf substrate, PR strain, with a coco/verm casing. THe substrate is about 4" and the casing is about 1". I put the casing back in inncubation conditions like suggested. Everyone says wait a few days and myc will pop through, then patch and fruit. Well after only 24 hours I already have some myc popping through in three different places. Can I patch and fruit this early? Just having doubts because everyone says to wait at least 3 days and that a problem with noobs is they fruit too early. So what should I do?

Is your casing layer even, or are there some shallow pits?

The PR strain is the most aggressive strain I've ever worked with.  My experience with it has shown that it will colonized your entire casing layer when using coir.  I'd say patch it now, and stick it in your fruiting chamber.  It will still continue to colonize your casing layer even under fruiting conditions.  Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if your casing resulted in some extreme overlay, but even if it does it'll still fruit. PR is a stubborn son of a bitch... GL bro :stoned:

man you telling me.

can a deeper casing layer prevent this next time?

or would that just put unnecessary energy into colonizing un-nutritive material?
