perlite problems

I'm having problems with my perlite-humidfied terrarium... I've got about 1.5 inches of perlite with about .5 of water, yet there is hardly any condensation on the walls of the terrarium. I'm using a rubbermaid container... could this be an issue? I'm confused b/c I haven't had this problem in the past. If anyone has any helpful ideas I would appreciate it! Thanks.

condensation only occurs when the air temp inside the container dramaticly exceeds that of the outside. this is one of the reasons to use a terrarium in the first place, kuz it tends to mitigate temp changes. what is your room air temp?

are you over nurturing the girls? they're shy. i'm not that ugly as guys go, but they definutly don't like the likes of me staring at them and allways messing with them.

WIth pelite. The condensation and water vaporiziing is so small that it is very hard to see it at all some of the time. But it also may be that you are airing out your terrarium too often. But keep doing what you are doing, if the mushrooms won't grow, try airing it out less, or try more water.
