Its Coir Slightly nutritous. I think its straight verm that wont contaminate as easy.

Since coir is organic, is it not also a bit acidic like peat?
It might help to supplement the coir with a lime product.

Coir is extremely nutritious and contaminants love it. Coir can be used instead of horse or cow manure as a bulk substrate. It isn't suitable as a casing material, as it has too many nutes and will tend to overlay if it survives the contaminants long enough.
