Falling in Love
    #4093619 - 04/24/05 10:59 PM (18 years, 11 months ago)

When I say "falling in love", it has to have been reciprocal (the other person felt the same way).

What did it feel like? What were the circumstances? What thoughts and emotions ran through you as it happened?

I have never been in love before. I have been in lust, I have cared for girls, I have liked girls, and I have had crushes on girls. I have had one girl say she was deeply in love with me, but I did not feel that way about her at all. I have loved girls, but it was more of a, "I care about you and would do anything for you" love than an "in love" feeling. I have never experienced being in love, yet I know I have not experienced it and when it does happen to me I will know what it is. I think it is a natural human instinct to be able to recognize it even if you have never experienced it before.

One time, at band camp,
I fell so deep in love it became a black pit of despair that showed me the perverted truth until it rotted in the pit of my soul.

you might call me a 'glass is half empty' type person, but if you ask me, there is no glass, there is no water, there's just barren desert strewn with the putrid corpses of the pure and innocent.

but that's cool.  No use crying over milk thats been spilled for so long its curdled remains are encrusted to the fucking table.

ah, springtime.  When a young man's fancy turns to love  :heartpump:  :hippie: :inlove:

:puke:

I just ask for my glass to be full damnit!

True Love is great shit man.....takes awhile for you to realize how in love you are if you ask me...but It feels like nothing you can describe.
Corny I know....
Do I care....

True love is when you're tripping with the girl and you feel the hallucinogen advanced thinking process come on...and, to yourself the hallucinogen either tells you "wow, this chick is the bomb", or "wow, what a dumb bitch, we have nothing in common"

I think there's a lot of factors.  Mostly little things.
Like waking up in the morning, and feeling like the luckiest person in the world to be sleeping next to the one you're with.  Or seeing them upset, or mad, or hurt, and wishing that you could just take it all onto yourself so that they would never have to feel another ounce of pain.  Or, after the initial novelty of the relationship wears off, still getting butterflies when your phone rings, and it's them.

Or, most of all, being able to look them in the eye, and feel like you're at home.

I don't think I could have said it any better myself.
