Messing around with my Casing

I had an extra brf cake that was colinized and i didnt knwo if this would wok but i tried it anywayz.in a glass container i put a damp layer of vermiculite then the crumbled cake then another layer of damp vermiculite.now three days later after i put it in the colinizing chamber it has white mycella growth on top.what should i do now?

I personally poke around to make sure it has colonized evenly up near the surface, if it has, I patch and birth after a misting. If not, I patch and give it another day and check again.

How would you recomend i patch it?It only has one small spot on the top maybe 1/2 "

Take some more damn, sterilized verm and sprinkle it over the exposed Myc.

Should i put the glass container i have and put it in a fruiting chamber or just leave it?

What I would do is take a fork (sterilized with lysol or alcohol) and gently lift some areas of your casing to see if the mycelium is approaching the surface uniformly. If there is a spot on top, and the rest isn't near done, patch the part exposed and let it incubate for another day or so. If it is almost at the surface, go ahead and throw it in your fruiting chamber in the glass container.

Depends bro, After I introduced my casing to the chamber, it took about 14 days to pin. Your milage may vary.
