Flow hood users

I've finally saved enough money to purchase a 12"x24" flow hood. Don't have the time to build one.

Is this big enough to do g2g in front of? I'll be using it mostly for agar and liquid culture work, but want to do g2g also.

Not that I've had any problems without one, I just want to get one so I don't have to worry at all about contamination. :thumbup:

The smallest filter size you can reasonably use (for home scale cultivation) is 1ft x 1ft.

better though 1ft x 2ft.

noticed the shroomery sponsores dont sell flow hoods, if one were to lazy to build were would they buy? ANy decent sites? thanks

You really should just build one. It took me maybe an hour of driving around, an hour of staring into space stoned, and an hour of assembly... under $50.

how did you find the right blower.  I am scarred of getting one to powerful.  Also how did you test to see if it worked?

i am thinking about using this one to make a 2 sq ft flowwhood

I didn't buy it, but was about to. It was $540 or close to that. Pretty expensive. I don't know what a science scale or stove top scale one is. It sets on a counter or table or something.
