Reincubate casings between flushes?
    #4088522 - 04/23/05 03:18 PM (12 years, 7 months ago)

Hey everybody, I've heard alot of suggestions on post-flush casing options. Some people pour bottles of cold water on their casing till saturation and then patch and fruit, others cold shock and fruit after patching. What do you guys think is the best rehydration method/should I reincubate the casings b/w flushes or just apply a thin casing layer?

Dont incubate or cold shock your casings after the first flush. They're in fruiting mode, and thats where you want them to stay. You can just fill in all the holes from harvesting and the sides and mist it down well and fruit it, or you can dunk it first for a few hours, then drain it and fill in the holes and sides with casing mix and fruit it.
