cheap grafting practice

new to grafting or want more experience? want to experiment with a new grafting method?

right now, you can have a great grafting stock and scion for 1.94 + tax.

i was at walmart earlier and i saw myrtillocactus and other suitable stocks for as low as $.97 and there were multiple worthy scions, which were also as low as $.97. i would recommend you buy one of the $1.27 or $1.47 scions because many of them come with multiple pups. if you mess up, you have back-ups.

give grafting a try. if you fail? who cares. total loss: ~2.00 and a bit of time.
better to experiment with grafting on something cheap, than to mutilate your pedro and mess up a graph with your expensive lophs.

Whats even better is when they have the Blue Myrtle with the Red button on top.. Shipping and little kids always fuck em all up and break hte grafts so just gather them all up and ask the manager if he'll give em to you or just throw them in with a bigger cactus buy.. Iv also been practicing with seedlings and these cacti work great.

That's Hylocereus undatus, a much shorter lived and tender species than Myrtillocactus geometrizans.
