Generalized blueing of myc during harvest??

So we had a late casing...fruits harvested this evening. Well, Foafy was utterly flabbergasterated when the visible mycelium on the casing layer, even up the stems of the fruits, began sympathetically blueing after fruits were picked across the casing. Very potent metaphor for love your neighbor or global warming: You may feel individual, but what you do affects many, if not all. Mycelium's cool that way. Such a living, growing network. Anyway, is this normal? My last casing never did this. Helpzorz!

normal. i hear it means the mycelium's getting dry...time to dunk?
-------------------- Under his instruction, I taped drumsticks to his head and turned him into a sort of mummy, or perhaps a caterpiller in a cocoon. He remains this way for about three hours, making bizarre noises, pretending to be a new species that must learn to walk and talk and eat, etc. And he communicates with other life forms by way of the antennae on his head. Eventually we jam a tube from a waterbong into it's mouth and figure he's learned all he needs to know.

Not necessarily getting to dry, esp. if it coincided with harvesting fruits. Im not saying the mycellium drying out doesn't turn it blue. You should be just fine, maybe a little more sensitive of a strain perhaps? Hard to say, either way i wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks!
Not worrying--I just thought it was very interesting at how quickly the entire casing's mycelial network blued in response to injury. It was like the injury metastasized throught the myc. Interesting.

It sounds very cool looking, wish mine would have done that yesterday.
