caseing?
    #4084840 - 04/22/05 01:56 PM (12 years, 1 month ago)

ok so i inoculated some WBS jars with cambos and GT They are almost done and i am going to case them using the 50/50 tek. Just want to make sure i have everything right and a few questions.

1) Wipe down pan with alchol and put a layer of dry verm down and mist till wet.
2)Get WBS out of jars, Sterilized spoon to get it out? And put a layer over the wet verm.
3)Put on sterilized casing mix and the cover and put in incubator.
3) 2-3 days later when myc start popping threw high spots, patch.
4) Now do you put in Fruiting chamer right after you patch it, or put back in incubator, wait till myc pop out on surface evenly then friut?
5)Fruiting chamer 3'x1.5'x1.5': Will perlite and an 20 - 60 gallon air pump be too much humidity, not enough humidity? Air pump being used for air exchange.
6)Once you put in fruiting chamer you mist till wet and then mist after flushes?

Am I missing anything. Help greatly appreciated.

Well since no one else will answer you i'm help you out.you have everything pretty much on target. when you patch it it is just to get an even pinnset for a better flush. you don't want to incubate it because that will lead to overlay and that isn't good. once you patch start fruiting it. the patching is just there to let the rest of the mycellium catch up on colonizing. hope this helps.
