    #4084405 - 04/22/05 11:29 AM (11 years, 7 months ago)

would it be safe to assume i can replace the same amount of vermiculite in a recipe with perlite and have it work the same? or are the two completely different?

Dont bother. I havnt heard of a Wally World carrying verm. Lowes maybe...garden centers will be your best bet. Maybe you'll get lucky at Walmart, it is a good season for it....

Home Depot...they sometimes have the large bags. 3 square feet for under $15.00

I found some Verm on a military base at the PX...in the garden center...a few days ago.

lolzz

 I was just at Wal*Mart yesterday, and all I could find was perlite... The department manager back in Lawn In Garden told me "Yeah, we have vermiculite, its right back on that wall"... And I say to her "Are you sure that isn't perlite? I'm looking for vermiculite..." To which she tells me that she guesses I am right, and then tells me she thought they were basically the same thing, then asks me what it is I was going to be using it with... "Oh, I don't know, actually, I was just asked to check for someone, they were wondering if we'd have it"...

I guess I have to run into a nursery nearby sometime soon, before my spores arrive... Maybe she'll get off her ass and order some vermiculite, I know I've seen it at other Wal*Mart's before...

:headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :satansmoking:
Peace. :mushroom2:

I got verm. and perlite at walmart. They also had it at homedepot and lowes. But the best places are the small ma and pop hardware stores.
