    #4082288 - 04/21/05 05:35 PM (18 years, 11 months ago)

I?m pretty new at this......
my equador casings have done pretty well .....but I have 4 cambodian cakes.....first of all the first flush is very uneven....have allready harvested 2 times (10 and 30 g fresh)and still pins are coming.....but the fruits are very small. the tallest have been 3 inch at most.....does anybody have an idea why the flush is so uneven and why the fruits are so small ???
They are in a smartbox with perlite humidityfication, and i fan 3 times a day and spray afterwards

Fruits being so small is a result of the substrate debth.

True, and substrate content.

wooow that was fast answers on my first question here :-)....
but I dont quite get it.....substrate depth and content......does that mean that pf cakes does not have enough depth and good enough content to make bigger shrooms ( have seen quite a few pics suggesting otherwise)....or is it something in my setup that might sucks ?

That's right, typically PF cakes just can't support big shrooms and nice flushes. Every once in awhile you'll see someone with big cake flushes, but it's rare. You need a nice, deep nutritional substrate to produce heavy, quality shrooms (like horse poo)

Those cambodians are really really REALLY powerful, so be prepared man. I noticed my fruits from cakes also being pretty small around 3-6 inches with pinkie finger thickness stems. But goddamn there were alot of them!

Wet weight 162 grams off first flush dunked and rolled.

These will give you a level 3-4 with 2 grams. Some of the most visual shrooms I have ever had the joy to work with...:)

Hopefully my casings will produce larger fruits.
Hope this helps
