Could use some help

Alright, Im new to mushroom cultivation. Ive got some of the article on how to do it and now i just to start. I have a few concerns: Do the mushrooms give off anykind of odor when they're growing? Safe to grow in a bedroom closet? Where is the best place to get the materials? and anything else i should know that I have no idea about

There's a slight mushroom odor (duh) in the grow chamber, but it's not noticeable when you walk into a room. It's safe to grow in a closet as long as you keep it clean and there's a place to put a light above your grow chamber. The best place to get materials is at KMart or Wal Mart. You may have some trouble finding vermiculite--if these stores don't have it, try a garden shop in your area.

I buy my vermiculite at food stores like shop-rite or pathmark. In the garden section there usually are small bags of them or $2 or so. MattyB's right, there is very little odor (earthy-dirt smell). You won't notice it at all.
