Syringe can las for years if they are refrigerated or atleast 6 months to a year if kept in a cool dry dary place. Aslong as they dont get too cold or too hot then they should be fine.

Actually, you could be wrong there Abe.  Sticking a full syringe in the freezer could freeze the spore solution.  Frozen water expands, so this could push out the plunger, or possibly spill out some of your spore solution, or even break the syringe.  I wouldn't advise it to go in the freezer, the fridge will do just fine

true dat. didnt consider the expanding of water. freezing sporeprints is what i must have been thinking of.

well i read a post on here earlier where someone said that if sporeprints aren't fully dried, if you freeze them the spores will explode.

but yeah, it seems logical once the sporeprint is dried out completely that cold couldnt hurt it too much.

spores will explode? thats wacky. how can you tell if they've exploded? i figured drying the spores would kill them and expose the print to contams. that doesnt make much sense.

Prints HAVE to be dried to store them, of course that wont kill them. You dont put it in a dehydrator...just print it and let it sit before sealing and it dries.

Spores exploding is basic chemistry, not so wacky. Fill something up with water, freeze it, and see if it doesnt expand. Of course everything has a limit and some spores would expand to the point of rupturing.
