Im around 135ish and I can max out at 165 lbs.
I love benching at the gym. Within 3 sets, you really feel like you've gotten a good workout and go home.

Is including the weight of the bar cheating?
I don't work out on a regular basis, but I do drop down on random occurrences to do fifty pushups and I occassionally go to my bench (I have one set up at home) to do a few benchpresses every day.
Right now my setup is as follows:
Bar = 15 pounds Weight = 145 pounds
Total weight = 160 pounds
I can do several of these, so I surmise my maximum single rep would be about 170 pounds.
So...based on that:
Age: 25 Weight: 135 Max Benchpress ability: 170
Has anybody noticed how your benchpressing ability increases and decreases very quickly? If I didn't do any benchpresses for two weeks and I tried to do one, I would probably not be able to do it. But at the same time, benchpressing ability seems to increase rapidly if you are doing them on a regular basis.

At age 19, weight 155, my max press was 245 lbs.
I got into a car accident and quit working out for a couple years but I'm back at it now. I lift alone so I use dumbells instead of a straight bar. I'm guessing my max is around 200 lbs right now.

I call BS on some of the results here. Im 28 and have trained quite a bit and cant bench what some of you are claiming. Then again being tall isn't exactly optimal for benching lots.

What about squat and deadlift?
My best lifts are/were: Bench: 230x1 Deadlift: 360x2 Squat: 320x5
My legs have always been stronger..my back is quite strong as well, just not my chest/triceps for bench.
