Tricholoma flavovirens

Does anyone have some info about this mushroom? :confused:

I picked some last fall in coastal pine woods (Pinus Pinaster). The taste is great :smile:

They're considered edible and choice but poisonous if eaten in large amounts :frown:

This was a case in France were 3 people died. But till now no one have established what amount that can be eaten before it becomes dangerous :confused:

Here where I live it's common to pick this mushroom, but not know anyone dying because of it.

Does this mushroom have similarities with Tricholoma Magnivelare habitat?

I know that this is a ectomycorrhizal fungi that loves sandy soils under coastal pines, like were i found them every year.
Does anyone know any other specie/strain of edible/medical mushroom that can be applied to this kind of conditions?!Anyone?

Hello. I found them in landscape plantings under some pine trees. This was in the end of December in my local. They are delicious.

Did you tried cloning or agar culture?!
I think it?s feasible that the process used to inoculate truffles into new trees could be made with other species/strains of mycorrhizal mushrooms
