You can find an AMERICAN HARVEST SNACKMASTER (NESCO BRAND) DEHYDRATOR at about any chain Mart store for about $40. You can find them on eBay cheaper & at thrift stores EVEN CHEAPER YET ($5).
   
Straight up & straight out..... this is the best dryer EVER (for the price). It quite, fast & easy to use (set it & forget it). They get as cracker dry as one could want. So much so, you can pulverize them to DUST, if you want.

yeah it uses heat. it goes down to 95, looks like agar has his set to about 97-98. No noticeable potency loss whatsoever.

Paid retail for the first one I bought. Have purchased 3 more at a thrift store not far away, I brouse whenever I go by it. At the thrift store I paid $5 each for 2 & $6 for the last one (new - still in the box).
I also found (& bought) a huge commercial quality EXCALIBER DEHYDRATOR at the same thift store for $20. It cost about $300 new.

 Not true.
Ronco's & others without a thermostat adjustment dial use heat in the area of 155/165F  .
Some others don't even have a fan in them & use convection from a heating wire to move air through them.

Well, let me recant...I don't buy dehydrators with a themos...I buy the ones you just turn on...plain and simple...nothing fancy!

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

Crack that fucker open and cut the coil. Its easy, if you can grow shrooms you can figure out how to turn a screwdriver and use a pair of pliers. You will be drying at room temp but the constant air flow is far superior to desecant or whatever that nasty slimy ass shit is called. Save that shit for your beef jerky

My dehydrator looks like this...
easist way to dry shroom imo. I did disconnect the heating element its easy to do.

Why did you disconnect the heating element. The low setting on that dial is 95F, which does no harm. Never mind. It was your choice to do so.
