the SCOTUS (aka the fascist council) is guarenteed to rule in favour of bush in the raich vs ashwipe medical marijuana case...since the outcome is predetermined..this poll is about the final vote ..

Predetermined bills in the USA?
are you talking about... this is a democracy, we adhere to strict protocols to prevent manipulation of people and laws.
7-2, they need to have some people against it, unilateral agreements on bills look to fishy.
Edit: (It's a bill in the sence of the word's definition)

I don't agree that they are guaranteed to rule in favor of Bush. This isn't necessarily a conspiracy, and if you've noticed, the court system often does rebel against the politicians, such as in the Terri Schiavo case and other situations where the Supreme Court wouldn't even hear it and lower courts went against the wishes of those in power. That's not what Bush would've wanted.

Indeed. I seem to recall that they ruled in the defendant's favor in the last medical mj case that was brought before them.

first of all..its not a bill...bills are for congress..not the SCOTUS ...second of all..the SCOTUS did rule against the "medical necessity" defense of medical pot by a unanimous vote...nor would they have agreed to the appeal against the 9th circuit court injunction unless they meant to overrule it..hence the predetermined outcome...

Point is... it's all bullshit, and it's clear that a particular stance in terms of drugs is prevalent in our society, and currently has little hopes of change.

It may go 4-5 it may go 5-4. The Chief Justice will be the swing vote... and believe it or not, he often swings for Medicine. Keep in mind, he has cancer.

It would be nice if the justices resent the recent attempted coup in the Terry Schavio case by the administrative and legislative branches, and gave the O.K. to medical pot as their assertion of their power.

The supremes also outlawed the use of infra-red spectronomy technology to search homes for the heat signatures of high wattage grow lights without a warrant. I would not dismiss the high court's ability to rule fairly, especially with the recent Shavio shit undoubtedly pissing them off.

and I voted 5-4 in the poll, but I meant in favor of the medicine.
Whenever the court has to do what's right in spite of various political opposition, they usually do it 5-4.
