In the other thread, please.

And is sarcasm really appropriate? I realize this is a strange post, but he does have a gun to his head...

Those were all silky words swami. No wonder why you are such a tangient type "like what you can get your hands on and actually feel with your fingers".

Do you have a lot of texctured decor around your house? It would make your environment extra enriching for you in a sensic way (even more enjoyable to be in).

Off to the other thread pheonix to see what I can share.

Sorry, but ah... if he took the time to post about it.... he isn't all that serious (hopefully he doesn't go so far as to prove me wrong).

I dunno, perhaps feeding on negative attention? 2 hours thinking about putting a gun in your mouth, some form of oral fixation? Not really too bad, as he debated with himself for a minute.... he obviously does care about what others think as he/she/it wrote the post regarding the thoughts... who wants reassurance that shit happens, and that he just needs to have hope/faith etc... that it'll get better.

So, I'd say a touch of sarcasm is appropriate .... I'll refrain from posting though.

(Sorry, I'm negative )

I don't think swami clicked on the link. It looked to me like you wanted us to share words here and just underlined the request. I didn't know it was a link to such a post here in another forum until you said it was.

Anyway, it was thoughtful of you to bring that post to our attention. Don't know if it will do any good but, its always worth a shot to extend our care for others whether they accept it or not.

gomp? Did you click on the link? Shine some light this way is a link to a post about a shroomery member with a gun to his head.

Phoenix, maybe add that to your original post because it looks like you are looking for others to share kind words.

Gomp, care to explain what is so kind about hate?

I don't completely understand what you're saying. Do you mean people should make constructive comments on the other thread you gave the link for?

Anyway, the situation calls to mind the case of Brandon Vedas, the young man who overdosed on DXM while chatting in an IRC chatroom. Nobody did anything to help the guy.

if you related this to Brandon Vegas, than you understand what was meant by "shine some light..."

I was in shock for one long long weekend after I read the logs at www.brandonvedas.com but I don't think you can say nobody did anything to help him. some people urged him to stop. it was a stupid game with stupid substances over a stupidly excited crowd on a country with a stupid drugs policy where people are afraid to call 911 on an eminent od. but the most unfortunate is that you can still see a lot of people raving about how much they did of this substance and that. in the end there's not much they can tell about the experience itself, but there will be plenty of people with comments like: "wow", "superb", "I should try that one of this days".

go to the pub and say you've just done a ton of any stupid substance and you'll see how the crowd cheers.

Well, I guess that's the point. Ostensibly there's this guy in another thread who says he has a loaded gun, and the question is if someone has a responsibility to check his IP address or whatever and try to get in touch with him. I'm not saying we should. But it's a legitimate ethical and human question. We might decide it's not appropriate, ethical or necessary. But I don't think fear should be the determining factor. What do you think?
