The Pub has actual content. I really didn't need to type that.
So yeah, if you want to make a thread on toothpaste or where to vacation you can expect a few replies that are on topic.
My problem with the pub is that I have to censor my posts. If some one posts something completely inane I cant call him a fucking retard. Now I can see where people are like, yeah, you grow up after 6th grade. No, you don't. Its really fun to "take the piss". Its a big joke, and I just don't get how people can take comments on a board to heart.
I just wish OTD and the PUB could join up again. Then I could make a thread, and get a variety of replies. Not just hippies, not just ass holes. The worst of both worlds!

Who says you can't be a Catholic and Jew at the same time? Well as far as the Shroomery is considered, i think you can bounce back and fourth between messgae board worlds. there are hippies in OTD, i know it.

I hear ya. I want to rip some people a new rectum sometimes in the pub, but I can't.  to that
OTD is great for off the wall kind of shit, but really lacks any intelligent conversation.

You used to be able to have replies in OTD. Actual replies that were sometimes funny. I'm not sure who ruined it, but one-liners aren't cool, they aren't witty, and over time all the intelligent people will leave. There is a group of about 8-10 that are part of the one-liner club, and they think they are really funny. It is kinda sad.
Ziddy is one of the few with quality in there.

I realize this wont change. Who decides this though? Does the majority of the PUB or OTD like things just as they are. Is it an admin decision, or am I the only one that thinks things could be better?

OTD used to be awesome. It seems to have really gone downhill lately. I mean, it's had its droughts before, but it's been way too long since I saw some real quality threads in there. I'm pretty much not welcome there anymore anyway, so it doesn't matter much now, but man do I miss the good old days.

I think the split was pretty much a community decision long ago.. reinforced by the admins. Now you've got two distinct forums that wouldn't merge very smoothly imo. I miss the good old days too... but I myself post in OTD very rarely these days.

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

Probably because most of the regulars in there get their 2 inch penises hard posting every 2 minutes or so and it's usually contains the words OMG WHO WANTS TO CORNHOLE ME or a link to senor citizen fag porn.
I say just rename OTD to 'Speds in a Bucket'
