Rehydration of horse dung

How many hours dunking are sufficient for the rehydration of fully dry horse dung? (can correct water % be achived this way?)

Do i use hot or cold? Times?

It only takes a couple minutes. I completely submerge, then wring out by hand until I get the desired moisture quantity (field capacity). Temperature doesn't matter much.

about 2-3 months ago, i collected a bunch of horse crap. I noticed a couple of crapples had been halfway colonized by mycelium. I put all the shit into a trashbag, and then put it in the shed in my backyard. Today, when I finally recieved a bucket of compost from a friend, I got the trashbag and dumped it onto a sheet of metal. The mycelium spread quite a bit and totally consumed 4-5 horse crapples. I dumped the compost on top and watered it. I cant wait to see what happens.
