My first spore print comes to life
    #4075266 - 04/20/05 01:44 AM (13 years, 1 month ago)

So I guess I have taken the next step in my mushroom cultivation experience....I have take spores and cultured new jars with them.  I am now self sufficient  .  I've included some pictures of my growing supplies.(the quality isnt so great)  I grew golden teachers on BRF cakes in styrofoam coolers.  The only thing I used to humidify them was an ultrasonic humidifier.  My humidity is around 90-95% and temp ranges from 79-85F.  Next time I was thinking about making casing with coco choir and vermiculite 40/60.  Would this work well with the BRF cakes?  Also, do I need perlite if my grow chamber is keeping over 90 % humidity?  Any other help is appreciated, as I am new to this.  Thanx.

The first crop

My Setup

A growing shroom

A two liter used to lower amount of humidifier output

A blurry picture of mycelia growing from spores I collected (no signs of contam yet)

The shroomery kicks ass.  I have spoken.

Lookin good!   Cased BRF cakes do well, so givem a shot, I think you'll like the results   Also, if your humidity is already fine, then perlite wouldn't be necessary, just a big mess...  GL bro :stoned:
