To incubate indoor, or to incubate outdoor?
    #4073249 - 04/19/05 05:15 PM (11 years, 7 months ago)

I just did some jars, and do to some recent problems with my incubation chamber inside, i dont have one anymore. I have the choice of incubating indoors at a steady 70, or wrapping in foil and putting in a trash bag, and putting outdoor, which at this time of the year here is about upper 60's to mid 80's during the day, and probably 50-60ish at night. Which would be better, the steady 70 indoor, or the outdoor incubation?

By the way the jars i have are always going to be either qt. WBS or qt. Popcorn if that makes a difference.

hwo about outside over daytime and indoors over night? its not ideal, but probably the best you can get, right>? If at all possible get a chamber.
(Placing next to a heater and turning them once every twelve hours does the trick)

If you can, putting them on top of your fridge, or in the cabinet right above the fridge works well.  The fridge produces enough heat from the back to heat the area above it several degrees higher... GL bro :stoned:

it really wouldn't be ideal to keep moving them outdoor to indoor. There is nowhere for me to put an incubator at my house right now. My dad found the last one.

Ill check out the fridge deal, but dont see that working either.

I guess ill just keep them indoor at 70 now, but if anyone else has a suggestion then please give it.

yeah.. sounds a bit shady. Growing in your parents house.. if you get caught .. THEY get caught too.. and fined as well. They're responsible for you, don't make them regret they had your ass!! LoL.

Seriously though.. don't grow in their house unless you have consent. When you're responsible for yourself.. IE.. have your own place to do such 'activities' in.. then come back for some help.

just my .02c

god damn, i dont know how many people have told me this on here. I didn't ask for advice on if i should grow or not, i just want to know if i should incubate indoor or out?

I'm not growing the mushrooms in my house anyway, just colonizing then doing an outdoor grow. They wont be near my house or anything while growing.

incubate indoors, and if you don't have any means of heat, place the jars in the pantry above the fridge (every one has a pantry above the fridge). I have all my jars incubating in their at about 75-80 degrees...
works wonderfully (now i'm wondering why i spent about 50 bucks to build a TnT when this is more than sufficient)
