does anyone know what weighs an 1/8???

Hey, the reason is that my scale only reads in 1/4's so i need to know what weighs an 1/8 to even it out?

5 grams is 1/4 oz though. I'm pretty sure. BTW does anyone also know what weighs 1 gram? Sorry for the questions.

A quarter oz is 7 grams. An oz is 28 grams.

Technically 1/4 oz = 7 grams.
1/8oz = 3.5 grams.

In many cases 1/8oz is EXPECTED to be close to 5 grams.
Just remeber that 1oz=28 grams and divide respectly.

Thanx, darkfly, i checked and you are right. 7 grams = .2469 oz. But do you or anyone know anything that weighs 1 gram also?
I don't know if Canadian bill weigh differently but i don't live in Canada. Thanx anyway.

try getting 7 uniform paperclips and see if they weigh 7 grams (i think many paper clips weigh a gram)

One of those regular old sandwich bags (not the ziploc ones) weighs one gram. Thats why an eigth (3.5 grams) is expected to weigh close to five (4.5).

It is accepted that the bag weighs 1 gram, but it actually varies from brand to brand anywhere from .5 to 1.6 I have seen personally.

The brand of my scale is a MyWeigh. Goto www.myweigh.com and click the vendor links, I got it from the place called Ol Will Knotts, they have the cheapest prices on them. Mine does accuracy of .1 grams and reads up to 150 grams, it also comes with a free 100 gram calibration weight so you know it is accurate. I beleive I paid 60$ for it.
