 First Trip Alone, Little Nervous

Hey ive taken shrooms twice before, last time was over 6 months ago and both times were with my partner. Times moved on and i really want to try shrooms on my own.
Im gonna go out and buy a tub tomorrow and i say tub cause im crap at maths so thats my weighing abilities.....a tub....half a tub and so on.
Me and my partner halved a tub each time, they were called erm....mexican blue tops? or something like that and the affects were extreme euphoria, mild halluincations and a kind of melting into the couch and my partner feel.
I just wondered how much do you think i should take on my first trip alone and if you think its a good idea to do it with my parents in the house?
Both parents are drug friendly and do take the occasional toke on a spliff so that parts cool....or should i not take shrooms with normal people around.....hmmmm any advice would be a great help

If your parents know about it and are fine with it then it shouldn't be a problem, if you're going to get a talking to or something if they find out then I would definatly not trip with them in the house. The paranoia from being found out will really impact your trip.
As for dosage I'll let someone else handle it, I've never dealt with that kind of mushroom and have only done 4 trips myself

im not after a mega trip, just something i can sit at home with, write some shroom induced poetry and just revel in the silkiness of my sheets ^_^
Some low level hallucinations would be a plus but hey not fussed.

those are the best kind! My preferred dose is half a gram (dried) for that kinda thing.

10-20g fresh or 1-2g dry... have some nice music handy, and be sure to start early enough to watch the sun set, if you can.
Have fun, no need to be nervous.

don't be, just go into it prepared and calm.
ahhhhh i rember my first solo flight, it was my favorite of all. the thing i remember most of all is watching/ hearing a PBS production of incubus touring right after their "make yourself" release. it was awesome, i also remember seeing an interview with Lenny Kravitz where a single black hole revolved around his head then finally setteling on his third eye. yeha that was fun.

It really does sound amazing tripping solo 
I cant wait to.
Last time i tripped out it was to cat in the hat....the film with mik myers in.....now i dont know how but that damn tape was on THROUGHOUT the entire trip.....but i SO didnt rewind it cause the bloody film confused me EVERY time when the walls started to melt and the cat was all sad lol :S
oh another thing, both times for my trips before i had an ounce of greens and i was smoking spliffs throughout the trip, i honestly dont rememeber feeling the smoke go down my neck and didnt feel an affect with the greens but will that make a difference??? tripping without greens???

hello 
1-2 grs would be nice for your first solo trip imo,
so that you don'T have to stress,because it is rare to experience hard times at such doses.
about your parents,you know 'yourself and them' better than us,
if you think they'll be ok if they sense you are tripping then go ahead.
but if you are going to feel panic when you become a tripper,then don't eat while they are around.
but at such doses you can control yourself easily so...
greenies 
mostly,they'll make you trip harder,more intense.
but in my experiences,
if i smoke more than 3-4 hits from my pipe,
i become stoned,clouded out.
have a nice trip

for me tripping alone is the best, because then i don't have to care for the other people around me... i just mind my own buzznes.
if i feel like laughing out loud or cry i do so. i control the surroundings such as music and light. if i feel like going outside or return back home i can do so. just riding around in nature on my bike. watching trees and birds and eventually sunset. or sit at home and watch the music melt as you hear the intricate colors.
I wouldn't trip with my parents in the same house as it may restrict you when you want to do stuff such as dancing naked to really loud music.
smaller doses wouldn't cause an urge to do that though...
but if you feel that you are comfortable with your parents in the same house, do it.
