Do GT's take longer to colonize?
    #4066148 - 04/17/05 05:50 PM (18 years, 11 months ago)

FOAF innoc'ed 6 jars with B+ and 6 jars with GT. It's been exactly a week since innoc., and the B+ jars have really started to come along. But the GT's haven't shown any signs of myc. Do GT's just generally take longer to begin colonization?

It should also be noted that his TiT messed up four or five days ago - the submersible heater broke and heated up the incubator to a little less than 120. But the B+ have survived and colonization is continuing daily.

Optimal conditions = best colonization

They're either contamed, or something was wrong w/ the spores...

Every p. cube can generally do as well as another....

gator, the term you are looking for is Germination. Gt's are known for taking up to 20 days to germinate. Just wait. Give it one more week.

I was curious about this too.

Do the B+ and the GT's normally colonize about the same amount of time?

colonize yes, germinate no. Cubes tend to run through substrate at the same speed
