Grow the Hawaiians?

I know Hawaiians are harder to grow than most mushrooms and that they are also stronger, but do you think it is cost efficient to grow them. Will their greater potency offset the more money needed to be spent on them, compared to say.. a common cubensis strain?

PESHawaiians are a bit temperamental. They colonized very slow for me, and were picky about fruiting temps. Not my favorite strain.

Hawaiians are no harder to grow then other cubes. They are just called that cause a company out here named em that. There is no true Hawaiian cube. In fact they are quiet easy to grow, and get rather large.

cubie's are cubie's and the pes hawaiin strain is no harder to grow than any other cubenis strain in fact i noticed no difference in the growth of the PF original, Treasure Coast, Hawaiin, and B+ strains (the original PF strains) Except for their fruits , and as far as potency they were all similiar, but did differed according to flush In my experience

Those are PESA in your picture Magash, am I correct? I recognize the nipples. Different strain altogether than PESH. Yes, both Pacifica Exotica Spora origin, but not the same thing.

Ok, I am really confused. I'm pretty sure hawaiians are not a cubensis strain, so I'm quite confused..

If you are talking about true hawaiian mushrooms you must be talking about Copelandia cyanescens then...they actually grow in hawaii.
There is a strain of Cubensis that is called hawaiians...but they are not from or do they grow wild in hawaii.
So...that is why there is some confusion.

That pic almost resembles the King Tuber:
I'm just finishing up a batch of PESH at the moment, not very impressed. Not a strain I'm going to repeat. PESA on the other hand is a nice strain.

Copelandia cyanescens var "Hawaiian" are not much harder to grow then cubensis, they just don't yield as much. I would estimate they yield 1/4-1/6 as much as cubensis, and they require either a straw, or manure substrate to reach full size.
Pacific exotica spore supply in Hawaii also sold cunbensis strains that were labled PESH, or Pacific exotic spore hawaiian, not native to hawaii, but labled with that name.
PESA is a cubensis they claimed was a azurescens that fruited in warm temps, I BELEIVE, but is actuially just a REALLY GOOD cubensis strain.
Copelandia cyanescens "hawaiian" is Very much worth the effort. Is it a commercial species, NO.
1 oz dry of Copelandia = 14-56 doses 1 oz cubensis = 4-16 doses
3.5 X potency of cubensis estimated but yields are .25 or less that of cubensis.
Commercial NO Head stash, Hell yes.
