droplets on cakes...a deal killer?
    #4065392 - 04/17/05 01:44 PM (11 years, 7 months ago)

Ok, so I've struggled with humidity levels in my terrarium--bad hygrometers, one setting on my humidifier, blah, blah, blah--and I thought I'd found the right number of plastic bottles between terrarium and humidifier. The cakes seemed to be doing great, lots of fluffiness, but today I noticed they all have some water droplets.

The MMGG says this just won't do, but some people around here have said drops of water aren't a big deal. What do you guys think?

if they are just a fine mist of water...no problem.

if it is a pool or large amounts of water on top of your cake...then that might be a problem.

that would probably be fine.

some people over react to water droplets on cakes.

I have never had a problem with them...myself.

Might being the key word here. I used to have 95% of the top of the cake covered with water. Water on cakes is okay. I used to run the ultrasonic with no moisture reducers on 24/7 without a problem.

Under his instruction, I taped drumsticks to his head and turned him into a sort of mummy, or perhaps a caterpiller in a cocoon. He remains this way for about three hours, making bizarre noises, pretending to be a new species that must learn to walk and talk and eat, etc. And he communicates with other life forms by way of the antennae on his head. Eventually we jam a tube from a waterbong into it's mouth and figure he's learned all he needs to know.
