if you can remember, describe a visual that you had that either recurred throughout the whole trip, or somehow just struck you as amazing/frightening/spiritual etc etc
On my first acid trip, I remember that the most recurring visual was the eyes of a cheschire cat all over the trees in my ranch ... everywhere I looked, at least one tree had pairs of red green and blue maniacal eyes that reminded me of a cheschire cat, and they would always be staring at me ... at first the visual jarred me and I just flipped, but then I started grooving on seeing the cats everywhere, when I would close my eyes the hallucinations were mostly of designs resembling fractal art (you know, how fractals seem to drop out into infinity) but with cheschire eyes again mixed in, but the colors kept changing ... beautiful but at times frightening how strong and emotional these visuals were.
On my second acid trip (3 1/2 hits of super potent PEZ), I didn't see as much of the cheschire eyes until the end, but during the peak i still remember that when we were listening to Pink Floyd's Ummagumma CD 2, at the beginning of the cd I looked at my carpet and it turned into such a complex whirlpool of color that I fuckin went crazy -- not scared, but just absolutely amazed how vibrant and flowing it was. i kind of realized i couldn't get pulled in, but i felt as if i was gravitating towards it. When track 2 came on (Be Careful with that axe Eugene) i looked at my wall and started seeing rows of haunted houses which seemed to build and build, just grew bigger and more detailed and more frightening. when the scream hit, my entire world just blew up with frightening (though not imposing) visuals of just anything scary you can think of (mostly fantasy stuff tho)
these visuals have stayed with me up until 6 months later (right now), i mean, i obviously don't SEE that shit but i have permanent "photos" in my head which are what I use sometimes to draw and paint. absolutely amazing
this is also why i love acid so much, there is SO much involved ... shrooms, even on high doses, just don't provide the kaleidoscopes and shit i see on acid -- the main reason i trip....everybody i know says that after i did acid my artwork became more phenomenal
It must be hard to trip if you anthropomorphize your shrooms.

I love to watch the clouds when I'm triping. I first discovered this on a "trip" to Disney World. We paid all this money to get in and trip with Mickey Mouse, but all I wanted to do was watch the clouds. Even on several low dose trip with shrooms the clouds have always been amazing.

when I get access to a scanner I'll upload as many pics as I can, I have posted some computer art on this website though they aren't too much like my hand art, which people are now making requests for. soon I'll start creating flourescent light posters of my hand art, with more colors and a cleaner art altogether.
It must be hard to trip if you anthropomorphize your shrooms.

most times when i have low dose trips i find a kind of pixilated aura around people and things that are moving. It kind of looks like the surreal potential feilds visual on sonique. higher dose trips are usually unique to the time for me.

the most fucked up visuals i ever had were the first time i ever tripped on acid..i took 2 hits wich was a bad mistake..we were already trippin on one and when i dosed the other it blew me away..we had the black light on and were listening to skinny puppy laughing our heads off and my friend jasons head looked like it was breaking up into fractiles and blowing away then coming back repeatedly..and when we had the light on i was just stearing at the wall paper that had flowers on it..the flowers were tossing and turning and twirling and then they broke up into little pieces and looked like little bitty cartoons running all over the walls.i couldnt see the cartoons like in detail but my mind had me tricked into believing thats what they were and i just kept tripping on it..everytime i would look at my brother and he would blink his eyes his eyelids would change colors..and if i could only explain to you the auditory hallucinations that went along with this..what a night..ill never be the same..
some say the end is near some say we'll see armagedon soon..certainly hope we will..i sure could use a vacation from this stupid shit.

when i first tripped on mushies with a few of my buddies we spent a while just standing on my deck watching the clouds. coming up with ideas for what certian things in the clouds we saw meant, and stuff like that. it was awesome

well for the most part it was good..i enjoyed it most of the night but i did indeed get very very very scared at one point..we were sitting there laughing like crazy and my buddy stopped and said "whats so funny" that set me to a really bad world..it made me feel like shit..so just layed back and stared at shit the rest of the night not talking to anyone..the scariest part of the trip though was when he turned the lights completely out and put in skinny puppies back and forth number 2 album.at one point my friend got scared as well and had to turn the lights back on because he said he looked over at me and thought i had horns on my head.i remember i kept thinking"now i know why they call it trippin now" because i felt like i was actually moving through some sort of video game or something.i felt like i was actually going somewhere..i worried myself to sleep ...

Ate a gram of unidentified mushrooms, so strong i'm guessing azures. This was back when i knew shit about them.
Anyway, when i turned my head i saw four of everything, it was insane. I saw a porcelin frog and i couldn't tell if it was real or not.
the high point of the night was getting a ride in my friends pickup while laying down in the back. Looking up at a marage of tree branched looming over me, zooming by, in an infinite number of frames.

I spent a bank holiday in the country side one time with a bunch of friends. We all dropped acid and layed back to enjoy the ride.
The thing that stuck with me, and scared me most, was that I was pretending to be an elephant by using the sleeve of my jacket as a trunk. While I was doing this someone had put a twig/small branch down the back of my pants and I hadn't noticed. After I'd finished goofing about, trying to scare people, someone said that I'd grown a fucking elephants tail.
I turned my head and, fuck me, I had a little tail.
I think I ran from it for about 3 minutes, just blindly into the bushes and trees, and it must have worked it's way out and fell off eventually.
I ended up in hysterics under a tree, with all these maggots on bungee cords falling onto me.
My friend took some pictures of me and my eyes are totally fucked.
That was my first trip.

The other things I saw were too beautiful (a field full of rotating buttercups that shone like the sun etc.)

Does anyone else like to shower during their trip? I always get the same visual from the spray of water when I shower. It always ends up forming a rainbow. Just curious if anyone else has seen this.

Never had the fortune to be around a jacuzzi while tripping, I might have access to a whirl pool... I might have to try that, thanks for the idea.
Rin, I kinda prefer being naked... last trip I had, it was just me home alone and I showered as it was just coming on and never got around to putting anything back on. Very liberating, although if anyone would have shown up(such as the land lord) I don't know how I'd have explained that.

One eve as I was riding the uptown bus through the east village I happened to be cruising on a nice 3.5gm high...The bus was empty, it was just after dark, so the resturants were full of diners and the streets were full of passengers,. Id say it was late december, and the air had that pre-xmas feel to it- you know that electric buying frenzy that seems to permeate everything- , except this warm bus...I think the driver had on old spice, and boy did it smell good, like apples and cinnamon mixed with musk and marlboroughs..I was drinking a hot chocolate with cream, and enjoying my brand new bjork cd- homogenic -I had just bought it and it took me 20 minutes to figure out how to get it out of that NASA packaging - I was headed uptown, about 100 blocks, and the longer I spent in the bus, the more tripped out I was getting, I dont know if the shrooms were mixing with the car sickness i usually get on long bus rides,but it was making me see stars..or for you Trek fans, it looked like the bus was in warp drive as we drove by- kinda neat to see the streets streak by at light speed...this is my reoccuring visual, anytime i am tripping and in motion, my vision goes into warp and everything seems to turn to liquid light... As my eyes were going in and out of focus I noticed a baby looking out of the window a few seats away, he seemed to 'know' what I was seeing- I think I even winked at the baby, i did something to make it gurgle,but he went back to staring out the window....as did I.
And just when I thought it couldnt get any better a light dusting of porcelin coloured snow began to filter through the street lights.... thats one memory i seem to remember.

My scariest visual ever was on Christmas Eve several years ago. My x-hubby thought it would be fun to trip during the big gift exchange crap at my evil step-mother's house. Here in Florida, it is customary (in the nicer neighborhoods) to put out luminaries. You know, those little white bags with candles in them. They line the edges of people's yards or sidewalks. When we turned into her development, I was just starting to trip good. I looked out the window and the luminaries were all blending into each other as we drove by....looked like fire. By the time we got to psycho mom's house, I was on the floorboard of the Rabbit, freaking my ass off.
I never recovered. Suddenly, my so-sexy semi-seethrough white blouse became the focus of my universe. I spent a couple of hours totally miserable, convinced that I had the world's worst boobs (not true, in case you're wondering). When we got back home, several couples came over to help put up the trampoline from Santa. Everybody else enjoyed my lovely bottle of Dom, while I hid in the bedroom in the dark.
I was so whacked that only one person could come into the room at a time, and they had to talk softly. I finally recovered about an hour before my daughter woke up, thank god.
If I never see another luminary, it will be much too soon.

A slightly unnerving visual a friend and I once had was that a wall of wooden panels was flimmering. It reminded me of the movie Jacobs Ladder, and it just make the whole scene (just a normal living-room) seem so unreal. i felt as the walls could disintegrate any moment.
Another vision I've had was that of a worm in a black spot in the wooden roof of same livingroom. Suddenly it shot out lightening fast right in front of my face, this wasn't actually scary though.
I also do a bit of drawing now and then, and everytime Iv'e had an acidtrip my drawing really takes off in both frequency, weirdness, complexity and imagination

my friend showed me Jacob's Ladder a few weeks after I first tripped acid ... fuckin scared me the fuck out of my mind. great story, just very demented (the outtake with the "antidote" is quite scary and much like a bad trip) i suggest people go see it, it's a really good movie. shouldn't scare u away from drugs tho, I doubt the existance of such a drug

Had some nice visuals on acid at large doses... Also on four gram dried gobble of the high potent Psilocybe Cyanescens, i saw myself as a demon, horns on other people, and everything i could see seemed to have lost its solidity, like it was all water...stars were as big as coins, etc...very visual -also lots of auditary halluc. something acid never provides...

over the last couple of times i dropped acid a friend and i both had visuals of this face that resembled an alien like buddha it was interesting because it reappeared in other trips. at one point we were walking down the street stepping on this face and having it pop up again every couple of hundred feet or so.

blue meanie for some reason i cannot get auditory hallucinations off of acid either..i used to when i was younger..it would make my ears freak out really bad..but now its just all visual..that was always my favorite things was the auditory disturbances though..we listened to this skinny puppy cd one night that i had never heard..when it was played to me the next day i didnt even recognize it..fucked up shit..

ON Acid, I get really vivid auditory hallucinations that turn into visual ones later in the trip. At least on acid, I can function, but I feel like everything is on time delay. Try watching X-mas clamation and you'll understnad me. The words don't match the movement of the mouths.
On Shrooms, I find that 2-2.5 grams provide many closed eye visuals that go along very well with music. I find that coming up and going down are the best times for me to listen to music. AT the peak, I usually sit in my shower for an hour or so and the room begins to turn and makes me feel like I'm walking on the walls/ceiling. Higher does, esp. fresh mushrooms make me get hives, salivate and make me feel like I ate rat poison. My worst trip consisited of me wanting to fill a few hours before my GF came by, so I ate like 60 fresh grams of Mazs and had a cool trip for two hours and then freaked out in the shower. She came over and wanted to have sex and chill and I made her walk home!!!! I was so afraid she would call an ambulance. (I also drank three beers that day in like 5 minutes and then ate the mushrooms after that). I seriously wanted to put a filleting knife through my eye to end the pain of thinking about how everything must be one and not two, because if there are two things, what is the space around and between them? It really sucked. It was the worst night of my life. It was worse than when me dad died. I am completely serious.
Anyway, ON mushies, I like to watch the stars and be with my GF. I only get auditory echos, etc. when I'm off-guard and don't want to have them at the beginning of a trip, like when a police officier talks to me. :-( On acid the auditory is better and sometimes the visuals are as well. The visuals I hate are on high does of MDMA/MDA or whatever the fuck I get. They are really vivid hallucinations like the ones from Lost Highway or Haunted House on the Hill or whatever where eveyone is trapped with the doctor who moves really fast and then really slow. If anyone knows what I mean, please try to help me explain to people!!!

thought this was interesting so i thought i'd move it up with a story of my own.
I get lots of visuals when i do mushies. usually when i trip my visuals are much more intense and last 2 or more hours longer than they do for the people i'm tripping with. just 3 grams or so makes the whole world visually almost unrecognizable. i think the coolest specific thing i've ever seen though was after the peak the first time i did mushies. I was in my room just chilling after an intense peak. I have this poster on my wall which is an artist's rendition of one of the battle scenes from Lord of The Rings. Gandalf and Frodo are in the middle surrounded by dead orcs and elves and dwarves. The battle scene just came alive! The smoke started rising from the ground and creatures started milling around in the background and gandalf and frodo had their hair blowing in the wind and just stared at me. damn cool!

Here's a few quickies..
Swimming under water with multicolored grids pulsating with every thrust .Later the grids were so pronounced I couldn't see anything but them so I had to stop swimming.
Trees swaying so much they began touching the groung.
Ground rolling like waves to the point I almost blew chunks.
On a windy night I watched tree limbs have sex in a very evil serpent like way.
Saw the Pink floyd darkside cover in the sky and the think stayed there for quite a while.
My favorite sex in the shower,ministry and a strobe light..closed eye visuals were awesome we morphed into so many things, even becoming one in the same.

I would have to say the trippies visuals I've ever had is when I visit past memories, and my mind melds the past memories with current conciousness. This only happens at very high doses, but is amazing when it happens. I have to constantly doubletake, because I keep seeing people from the memory. When this happens, it's usually very diffucult to tell if my eyes are open or still shut. The visual will often remain in my "sight" wether or not my eyes are open or not. These trips usually happen at 15+g's.

last time i shroomed, the whole time i was tripping i would see 3 dimensional spider webs in between every tree brach...the cool thing was that my friend saw them too. I made a drawing of everything i saw when i shroomed that day...i don't have a scanner or i would show you!

It's probably pointless for me to try to describe this in a post, but I'm going to try. My first hallucinatory expirence was on acid during my first semester of college, I rememeber it pretty well, since that was.. last year... anyway.. My girlfriend and I ate some gel strips of acid (windowpanes), we weren't given any dosage instructions, and it definately was not evident from the strips because they were all different sizes. So we just ate some, and that some, was probably about 4 - 6 good hits. First time. After ingestion we went and chilled with some friends in their dorm. And you know how it goes... you start looking around and shit starts looking different. And being my first time, I had to sit there and question myself as to whether or not what I was seeing was a visual disturbance from the lsd, or just my eyes playing their normal tricks on me. This is at about T+ 15 min... at about T+ 20 min.. I decided the trip was starting, shit was definately moving around and melting and reforming... I thought it was awesome... T+ 25 min... Could no longer concentrate on any kind of conversation or speak... veg time... T+ 30 min... I was no longer sure if I was alive. My friends were now melting and reforming... Their converstations were just infinite loops of questions and answers (at this poing every +5 min feels like +5 years)... T+ 35 min... absolutely the most massive visual distortions I have ever expirenced. At one point, my entire visual field (consiting of people and furniture, walls, everything)was "sucked" (most like a black hole)... into my friend's dorm room fridge (as he opened it)... and then (as he closed it) released. Still debating whether I had died or not, we left and walked down the hallway. The trail of light in the hallway was so bright I coudln't see as I walked. It was like walking down one long streak of light. Untill I stopped moving, and everything would catch back up. We layed down and after numerous, "where am i?" type questions to my gf... I finally came to, and realized I wasn't dead, and had a great trip. I wasn't having a bad trip before, I was totally vegged, I couldn't speak or anything, I couldn't really comprehend a bad trip. I remember thinking, if I have died, it's not that bad, things are pretty cool here. The rest of the trip was pretty crazy, but not like the start. We sat in the hall lobby and watched the floor bubble and roll around. We tripped all night. Went to sleep in the morning, and woke up strill trippin a few hours later. Was residual the entire day after. Cid is crazy.

1500mg of DXM.
A blue, swirling vortex opened up a wall in my basement. I could sense that there was an entity there behind it. It was willing to contact me. It was neutral towards me. It would talk to me, but with no special interest, or intents. I decided not to make contact, and walked off from the portal.

one weird thing you guys can all do is take a relatively low dose of shrooms, around 3.5 grams.
Then go walking around in the winter, so that no leaves are on the trees. Then look at some streetlights through the trees. The tree branches around the streetlights form these weird concentric circles around the light. The reason this works for everyone is that it's there when you're not high, it's just not as crazy.
Personally my most memorable visual was when I was on a sparesely populated island, was on mushrooms and MDMA. And saw what looked like a gigantic sun in the night sky, with a big smiling face on it. The detail of the face was incredible. I was used to mushroom visuals being small and patterned, but this one was absolutely HUGE.

KNOW WHAT I LOVE TO LOOK AT WHEN TRIPPING? 1) snow on the tv (like a channel you don't have, a nice even snow with no lines or no jumpiness) 2) ever green trees, the pictures i see in the depth of the trees is amazing, 3) those tattoo bracelets and necklaces (they're usually black and made of a tiny thin plastic all entangled 4) www.mentalfx.com
