What would you say the right age is to experience shrooms?

Age is just one factor when it comes to the mushroom experience. Consider life experiences, physical, mental, and spiritual health. The teenage years may be, for many people, too tumultuous a time to try mushrooms. Any type of drug use, especially at a young age, can drastically change the body and the mind. It's a decision that needs to be thought out very well by the individual. Let no hasty decisions be made.
It is all truly subjective.

I say 14 because this is the age I consider a person to no longer be a child. Yeah sure, their mind is still developing but not as fast a rate as before that age. I've known a lot of people who took shrooms or acid when they were 14 and all of them are stable, normal individuals. Some are actually the most caring and intelligent people I've met.

I'd say 14, simply because it'll help them gain greater perspective. Plus that's when I did them.

I first did them at 16. Honesty, I think it's too much for most developing minds to handle. I'd say 17-18, probably more like 18 for the general public. It varies from person to person depending on their insecurities and maturity. Ignorant people just looking to get "fucked up" should not to mushrooms. Ever.

I can only speak from my own experience, and I didn't try shrooms until I was 20.

My first time was at 26. I'm glad I waited.

I still havent tripped on shrooms yet, i came to this site planning to do them. but ive had so many negative things happen in my life that are still affecting me deeply that ive just wanted to be smart about it and be precautious as to not have a bad trip and make things worse. but im really wanting to make my life better and search for more enlightenment and grow more so every day and i really would like to try them. yeah, it's just the many negative things i suffer from and trying to be smart about this. so ya know, im not really sure what i should do. i continue to grow more fond of doing it though and i just want to have a great experience and grow from it.

I did a lot of acid when I was a youngster and found it to be lots of fun. When I found shrooms I found the visions were much more spiritual and many times less fun. You can learn a great deal about both yourself and the universe through this fungi but its not for everyone. Its not a party drug. Respect it and you could have much to gain. Don't and your life's path could get worse. It is wise for you to wait until you are ready, so many don't. Just have a good set and clear mind and it can be a rewarding. Its incredible you have posted 3555 times and never experimented. I hope your life improves so you can take this next step in your personal evolution. ENJOY

Thanks man, I was hoping I'd get some feedback. Yeah, I know many would be surprised after posting so many times that I have never tripped on shrooms before. After a lot of deep contemplation I just never felt confident enough in choosing to do them considering my very troubled and troubling life. I think I would surely gain very much from them though as I already place enlightenment personally and spiritually and growing and all things alike at the top of my list every day and have done so for a good while now. I would much more so learn and grow from them rather than just "have a good time" ya know. I have wanted to do them very much the entire time i've been registered and before that for a long time. But for five years now I've been dealing with very, very difficult things emotionally and physically. And I still have the fear of having a bad trip and such ya know. I just want to make the right choice and I'm a pretty indecisive person on top of that so... yeah ya know.

It's a tough choice. Tthey have to ability to help you with the problems your experiencing, but they also have the ability to make those problems worse. Do you want to gamble with your mind? Or you could just wait untill you sort everythign out yourself before you think about using mushrooms.

Of course you are right. It is a gamble the first time. Hell bad experiences happens even to experienced seekers. And I agree it is better to have your life in order before experimenting with powerful teachers like the shroom. I personally consider the one "bad trip" I had to be one of my most rewarding in the long run.. Great Hicks quote!!
