fruiting chamber height
    #4062222 - 04/16/05 11:12 AM (18 years, 11 months ago)

Hey people!

I know this has been discussed before because I searched and found answers. The problem is, there was not a definate end to the question, as I'm sure there wouldnt be. But specifically, what would your recommendations be for the height of a chamber while fruiting B+ PF style?

I am wanting to find something discrete such as a photo album case, a chest, guitar case, etc. But I am wondering how much height would be appropriate for 1/2 pt. cakes sitting on an inch of perlite?

Thanks all!

Well I doubt a photo album case would work... MAYBE A guitar case... but I doubt it, try something taller...

Twice the height of 1/2 pint jars will work fine, but you shouldn't go much less than that.

From my post earlier:
"But SPECIFICALLY, what would your recommendations be for the height of a chamber while fruiting B+ PF style?"

Thanks though.

He already answered your question. Strain doesn't matter that much. Twice the height of a jar brings you to approximately 6".

Do an easy casing tek and make the substate level a little thinner. This will keep the mushrooms smaller.

10 inches tall. 1inch perlite + 2inch double end cased cake + 6inch shrooms off the top of the cake(wink wink) + 1 inch extra space.
