One Day...
    #4059885 - 04/15/05 07:00 PM (11 years, 7 months ago)

I am going to kidnap ALL of the posters who claim there is no difference between external and internal; reality and imagination. I will put these posters in a cell and starve them. I will not listen to their cries. They can eat an imaginary apple as it is all the same. ONLY WHEN they admit there is a difference will I feed them and let them come back to the Shroomery to post like rational boys and girls.

What if you just think you kidnapped them?

"What if you just think you kidnapped them?"

That's a job for the thought police.

Can you see how fragile is the delusion of self?

hmmm
there's no different between reality and imagination?

Well I suppose from a subjective view that can hold true sometimes, but never in a healthy fashion.

I fail to grasp who would think this besides someone who fuses reality and imagination into an undeniable one- which is someone you shouldn't be trying to persuade anyway.

I've seen many here claim that by believing in something strongly, it can be magically manifested.

hmmm.

I could see that happening in terms of "where there's a will - there's a way!" But you'd be cutting out all the in-between stuff

Also, that begins venturing into mass perception and other possibly existential things. The one scientific link to this that I've heard of is, and im paraphrasing a hell of a lot, the problem that sometimes a photon becomes two and when it is observed, the other one ceases to exist. I don't know how much this would hold true, especially since I read it in Discover a few years back, but some well known physicist proposed that the Universe honestly wouldn't exist without someone to observe it. This at least requires further investigation... how? Fucked if I know.

No. How can a person which is subject to illusion know truly what is real? And worst... to be able to prove it.

Can a mad person prove you his delusions?

There is a difference between imaginary and real....but there is no denying that something must be imaginary before it becomes real.

If you are physically oriented you will perceive such comments that way.

I can't speak for anyone but myself on this but I will say that when I use the expression, I am talking about the internal reality being one of thought and emotion and the external reality being one of it's manifestation.

people who who live in mental and emotionally rich and abundant states don't end up in jails being starved.

What you are doing here is taking people who live within cause and effect principles and then you hypothetical remove them for their causative state to create an unnatural effect for them and then say their cause methods don't work.

I would bet my life that everyone who posts here eats food out of physical hunger.

When you see people referencing the terms internal and external, you must projecting your own interpretation of what they are talking about on it that isn't what they, at least I am talking about.

If I were to use them related to the physical, then I would say that those who understand the relationship between the internal and external realities will always have more then enough food to eat when they are hungry and not find themselves in a starving situation facing physical death because they didn't know how to secure something so basic.

There is no magic to it either. Maybe it just looks that way to someone who chooses not to see the relationship.

That's how victims are formed BTW. Are you a victim swami? if you feel like life happens to you and you are victimised by it, you might want to pay more attention to discussions on the relationships between internal and external realities.

You talk about people taking responcibility for themselves and where they find themselves. You already understand this dynamic in your way and just havn't connected how you know it to be so with the internal external talk.
