conditions or nutrients?
    #4059787 - 04/15/05 06:40 PM (12 years, 1 month ago)

hey everybody

i just flushed four brf cakes, first flush, and got about 7 dry grams total. I know brf cakes dont have big yeilds, but i was expecting more than that.

most of the shrooms have very thin stem and the veil tore while they were tiny. do you think it is the conditions that caused this (mainly flucuations in humidity), or would it be from lack of nutrients in the cakes?

they are dunking right now, and im hoping to get a larger second flush

thanks.

three were ecuador, one was transkei south african, both did the same thing.

my conditions are a constant 74-76 temp. my hygrometer doesnt work past 90, so i fan it down to 80 and give it a good mist so it should be around 95-100, but it goes up at night while im sleeping.

My 5 cakes of EQ did the same thing. Wasn't chamber conditions because the B+ next to them were quite a bit bigger. Your conditions sound good, are they getting light from above or what? Are you getting good air exchange?

probably something to do with your growing conditions.

temp

humidity

air exchange

and lighting.

something wasn't right...I usually average between 7 to 9 dry grams per cake on the first flush.

Did you dunk your cakes before you put them in the fruiting chamber?
