WBS soaked for 24 hours, rinsed, then PC'ed for 90 minutes

I'm only getting tiny colonization points and only two of the 4 jars show these spots. Do you think it's too dry in there??

wouldn't injecting a little sterile water help if drying out was the case?

It's been 9 days already and they are going a little slower than my BRF jars!~

You have to drain while rinsing...rinsing implies washing away and in order to wash away, it would have to be draining somewhere.

They probably just werent hydrated enough. You can try injecting some sterile water but you open up a chance for contams. Shake it around after injecting the water if you decide to try it to distribute everything evenly.

soaking doesnt get the seed to soak up the water, simmering sucks up the water. Next time just put dry seed into a jar and add water at a 3:1 ratio, then pc for 1 hour. Sounds like you did a bunch of work for nothing

Unless your trying to make a liquid culture of some sort, dont you imagine that ratio is backwords?

it even says put seed in the jar and add water then says 3:1 i would assume the ratio given would follow the example given. But thats just me. Yes i do know that the mixture is a little dry, i dont use it.

It seems to have enough moisture. Maybe my temps are too high/too low?
