Growing Lillies
    #4057658 - 04/15/05 03:07 AM (18 years, 11 months ago)

I've tried looking and I just can't find any real good information on growing lilies. Specifically I want to grow blue lotus (indoors if even possible) in a small container that I would somehow be able to move to another location if need be. But uh, any information/links on this would be nice.

growing lotus from seed and you can find the seeds from  shamans palace.

1. You must change the water daily.
2. The water must be kept above 74F.
3. They need a lot of food.
4. They must be scarified.

I do think it would be possible to keep one in a 5 gallon bucket throughout it's lifecycle, but you're not going to get nearly impressive blooms as one would in a pond.  I might be wrong, but I think they are an invassive species if introduced to the wild.

You should be able to grow it for a few weeks before feeding and transplanting.

There is a lot of info available on google.

Peace :sun:

I'm growing sacred lotuses and they are doing well. I put them in a 16 gall tub with sand in the bottom and water. 4 seeds sprouted and sent up shoots. I didn't change the water but I put a little ferts in.

From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.” (attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville political philosopher Circa 1835)
