Good news/ Bad news. Went out today and combed the field (Central SC) Conditions are perfect.
I found 2-4 pounds of mushrooms, bad news, no cubes or copes  :crazy:
crap.
Anybody findin' any?

I went to Paris Mountain today...and I know it's not the perfect place for shrooms to grow...but no luck. Darnit!

Edited: I should (or shouldn't :grin: ) have mentioned that in the grain feed bins, there was a pinkish square shaped substance mixed into the grain. If it was white, I would say it was pretzel salt. Any idea what this might be?
Also, each pie was sprinkled with fine sawdust. This is not a real big field, I thought it was hunters marking covered ground. Just seems strange there were everything but psilocybes. Is it remotely possible? :shiftyeyes:

Not to get O/T, but we're all here (almost). Where is everybody going this summer?
Anyone going to strange days fest at Charlotte?

Not to be O/T, But I might just go to that Strange Days concert...thats insane with The Doors, and Steppenwolf and stuff...I will HAVE to save up money for that trip. I might get to see you there or something!

found some huge ones in statesville in the middle of dung, they looked like super huge inky caps.  But no cubes... still looking... hope they appear :smile:

Pans and more pans. Three subbs in some constuction hay that were decomposing almost- I left them be.

Around here in Greenville (around greer*) it's hard to spot some mushrooms, any mushrooms! I'm going out sooner this weekend to check what's up. Maybe I'll find some hen-of-the-woods or if I'm lucky, a fly agaric. Which leads me to the next question, ever found a fly agaric in SC?

Probably did- I used to find cubes in Simpsonille. And YES- FLY AGARIC SP. DO GROW IN SC- ABUNDANTLY. I'm in Greenville too and nothing's up. You won't however, find and muscaria until at least September. Nice to have hope for dope though. Peace.

I might have a party this weekend with some friends and after a little bit of cooking with some "potted butter", we might go out and check out this field near my neighborhood. We can walk out the other exit and be straight across from it. So maybe if we find anything, I'm bringing a digital camera. Wish me luck to get everyone together and to find stuff!

Greenville eh?! I guess there is some hope to find Agarics but not for a while  :frown:
Besides that, I just given up and did my own cultivation and I'm proud to say it's doing fine. By around september, I would have tried the elated penis envy strain. What think you about this strain?

I hunt in the Awendaw/McClellanvile,(Charleston), area on the coast...Plenty to be found. I have also had luck in Hollywood county and several James Island pastures that have been around for over a century.

I'm about 30 miles from Asheville, NC and about 40 miles from Greenville, SC and all I've found on dung is grass shrooms and inky caps nearby. I have found countless Amanitas of all kinds right in my yard. Let me know if any of you have any luck and where you are. I'm just curious to see if they can be found. I've heard they are quite common in southeast SC and Georgia.
