I have this friend that just ate shrooms last weekend...she just found out she was pregnant today....
has anyone heard of any affects shrooms has on pregnancy.....i told her she is only a couple of weeks I'm sure it is OK ...what do you think about it
-------------------- "Six words: drop out, turn on, then come back and tune it in -and then drop out again, and turn on, and tune it back in-it's a rhythm- most of us think God made this universe in nature-subject object-predicate sentences-turn on, tune in, drop out- period, end of paragraph. Turn the page- it's all a rhythm- it's all a beat. You turn on, you find it inside, and then you have to come back (since you can't stay high all the time) and you have to build a better model. But don't get caught - don't get hooked - don't get attracted by the thing you're building, cause... you gotta drop out again. It's a cycle. Turn on, tune in, drop out. Keep it going, keep it going- the nervous system works that way. gotta keep it flowing- keep it flowing.

I mean..nothing to do it about it now, you know? I wouldn't worry but I'm no doctor or anything...as long as she lays off them for the next 9 mos.

It wouldn't even be a fetus at this point. Just an embryo.

couldn't really find anything at erowid, she's probably fine for now... but like others have said... lay off until after the pregnancy.

my mom smoked pot during pregnancy, and as far as i know thast it, but i dont have a lot of direct sources for that kind of information anymore.
as far as im concerned its generally a good rule of thumb to stop any drug use when you find out youre pregnant.

my nineth grade science teacher's wife (who was a laker girl at the time) was pregnate, and my teacher was like "yea, we've decided not to let any drugs enter her body durring the pregnancy, no caffene, no asprin, nothing"
now talk about a freakin pepsi headach from hell ....
his wife was freakin hot, and he knew it, he always had pictures of her and all the rest of the laker girls around (he was even in a few with her so it appeared to be legit)
as for the prgnancy, that's hard to say, mushrooms seem to be a quick leaving drug from the system (so is alchol) but 1 time shouldnt be too bad, it's not like she was pregnate for 2 months and said "hey, bust out those caps"

ive known 2 instances where women took shrooms not knowing they were pregnant. both miscarried the following day. one was my wife. i strongly suggest to pregnant women NOT to take magic mushrooms. setting aside they result in abortion, the long-term effects on the fetus or embryo are most likely terrible.

anything mommy takes in, baby gets too. The fetus will get some chemicals but a fetus probably cant trip. has not developed the proper senses. with your friend... she and the baby will be ok.. tell your friend to stay away from shrooms until baby comes out.. also tell the babie's mamma not to drink alcohol or smoke nicotine.
