Why did it take so long

I had twelve 1/2 pint jars with a brazillian strain using the PF Tek .They are just now fully colinized after two months at 82 degrees ferinheight.Why?

Thats weird brazillian is suppose to be faster than cambodian. How many inoculation points??

They probably took so long due to water content that wasnt optional, probably too little. I've never made BRF cakes personally but I hear its pretty hard to to get appropriate water content on the first few tries but after a while you should get a hang of it.

How much water did you use per jar? I have had jars take 1.5 months even when I had everything perfect and they were with B+'s that normally took me 3 weeks. I am by no means an expert but I think if you followed any PF Tek the water should be fine. 1/4 BR 2/3 Verm(some use 1/2) 1/4 cup water per 1/2 pint jar. I am guessing if they were dry or out of water they wouldn't have colinized fully no matter how long you waited.
