I was out mushie hunting in Chico today and saw a big, puffy looking fungus growing out of the middle of the log. It was a beautiful orange and yellow. Any ideas on what this is? (I know it's probably not edible :)) ...
Another question, I didn't see any other mushies growing anywhere. I assumed they would be out due to the recent rain, but I couldn't find *any*. I was generally looking in straw/decayed wood. Any tips?
Haha, I found 0 shrooms too. I checked after, before, and during the rains, but found not so much as a poisonous. I was not able to check the cow and horse pastures though, only lawns and mulched areas, as well as fields used to grow hey/straw.
