What is man?
    #4049794 - 04/13/05 12:31 PM (13 years, 5 months ago)

A person is not a ready-made being; they  will become what they make of themself and nothing more. They constructs themself through their choices, because they have the freedom to make vital choices, above all the freedom to choose between and inauthentic and an authentic modality of existence.... In order to pass from inauthentic to authentic existence, a person has to suffer the ordeal of despair and "existential anxiety," the anxiety of a  person facing the limits of their existence with its fullest implications: death, nothingness. :mushroom2:

A human regardless of sex or age; a person.

Yes, that's a stage that must inevitably be experienced. Existential angst, nihilism, relocation of one's world model. The chaos of uncertainty must be embraced...to form a new belief an old one must first be discarded. Free fall for a while, then you'll find yourself. The fundamental bottom will catch you.

A concept open to all definitions.
