Man I really love this stuff anybody ever make it?

Hollow out a Kiev pumpernickel bread, fill it with dip made from 1/2 sour cream 1/2 ranch dressing, serve with veggies for dipping.

Oooooh so good!

Pumpernickel is the shit.

Never made a breadbowl with it, but love making corned beef with pastrami and swiss with it.

I'm gonna fix that tonight- thanks for the idea man- (not for me- but my wife will love it!).

Also it's nice to hollow out the pumpernickle and put a thick (preferably vegetarian equivelant but...) beef stew inside in a pumpernickle bowl and let it seep into the bread. Damn it- forgot to get pumpernickle at Publix today.....damn damn damn....

Spinache dip is also great in a pumpernickel loaf, Recipie as follow's:

* 4 cloves garlic
* 10 ounce's package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
* 14 ounce can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped ( Fresh is better )
* 1 (10 ounce) container Alfredo-style pasta sauce
* 8 ounce's shredded mozzarella cheese
* 3 ounce's grated fresh Parmesan cheese
* 1/2 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place garlic in a small baking dish. Bake in preheated oven 20 to 30 minutes, until soft. Remove from heat. When cool enough to touch, squeeze softened garlic from skins. In an 8x8 inch baking dish, spread roasted garlic, spinach, artichoke hearts, Alfredo-style pasta sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese and cream cheese. Cover and bake in preheated oven 30 minutes, or until cheeses are melted and bubbly. Serve warm in pumpernickel bread bowl.

Yah, got to have spinach..


In dip and raw in salad are the only ways Ill eat it.
