Store bought poo is a total waste of time and money for mushroom cultivation... Sorry bro

Get it fresh and process it yourself, or pickup the "weathered" poo from a field. You don't want the pitch black composted poo.

i know fresh poo needs to be leached and all. But after i soak it for however long, do i need to let it fully dry or can i just kind of ring it out and use it then?

I usually let mine dry out in the sun for a few weeks...after being leached.

but I have seen others that don't.

I really don't know bro.

I try to use aged horse poo.

And all the newer stuff that I leach is left out to dry in the sun for a few weeks.

Someone else might know.

good luck to ya!~

i can get aged poo too, so ill probably just do that.

Is it ok if it's kind of greyish brown and looks kind of like fiberous soil?

leaching is soaking the fresh poo to remove amonia. You just pu the poo in a bucket and cover it in water and leave it set for 24 hours.
