sub. volume question/ or storage of prepast

context: in the inc. there is room for two tubs. one comes out today, the other will be cased in a few, and go back in. the space will be filled with another one shortly.
questions: anyone have an approximation of how many qts 5lbs of wet poo makes for the spawn ratio's sake? probably no way that all five of those lbs are going in this tub w/ room for the fruits. so, aside from an impulse sealer, what would be a good way of storing the additional poo for a week till the space in the inc. is freed up?
thanks guys

About 5ish quarts for 5ish lbs. I use 1.5 quarts per 5 lb bag which does ONE of these:

there was a concern that 5lbs was too much for the volume of the tub, but it worked out perfectly. 5 lbs poo to 3 qts wbs. of course, it was overkill, but when compared by estimation, it seemed it was roughly over 1/4...? sure it did the trick-
maybe a second log will begin- wouldn't want the the log's author to discredit such a fine product with a poor spawning method, as was the case in this picture: this was not from the more recent attempt

3 qt's is probably close to 3 pounds..your looking at more like 50%+ spawn rate...nothing wrong with that though..

Assuming you've kept it in a clean cool environment, just tape it shut and use ASAP. If you are REALLY concerned about it, tape it shut and throw it in the freezer.

matter of fact, the volume wasn't an issue- the 5 worked out great for that tub.
so no need to save any of that, but the other two were in the fridge- they'll go in the freezer.
thanks for the help- so as not to have sooooo many redundant logs of colonizing substrate occupying the board, the results of the following will be stored and then released when complete:
2 1/2 qts worth of brf cakes spawned to quality Tenn Stud Basic Substrate-
and 3 qts of wbs spawned to 5 lbs of Tenn Stud Pre-pasteurized poo- poo poo poo!

Make sure you break them peices up even better in your hands next time..I still see globs that are together..you want each individual grain to be seperated. Definatly much better then the last one though..

after looking at the picture, i really thought that it could have been done better, too. it was pretty much the same problem as last time: was trying TOO hard to be in & out. not to say that it'd be necessary to dilly-dally in there, but your advice is duely noted, Scat- i will try to see to it that it is actually adhered to in the future.
thanks for following

I seem to spend about 15 minutes breaking up and spawning a 5 pound bag of poo..take your time mang! Your working with things that are very contam resistant..just clear out your bathroom and turn off AC and heater and remove ALL air flow...I do grain to grain transfers, agar work, inoculations, spawning, casing, everything this way...and you can leave an open jar of grain (uncolonized) sitting on the back of your toilet for 5 minutes without issue if theres no air movment (and everything was cleaned very well). That means you can easily sit longer with pasteurized shit and colonized grains. I did 12 casings three days ago like this...left them all open and spread out in my bathroom for the whole time (about 5 hours total) as I spawned each one, just set it to the side...didnt cover them until I finished all of them. All recovered fine and are doing great...
