After reading the pda tek for agar use; I have a few ?'s.
I plan on using half-pint jars as a petri dish, which I see is just fine. Now with that in mind......can I skip all the steps of transfering the liquid to other container's? I thought of mixing all of the ingre., stir it all together, then fill each jar 1/4 of the way up, and P.cook. After all this let each of the jars cool, then I can inocu. each jar with syringe, print. Is this not advisable? Also since doing it this way...does this mean I should P.cook for 25min? Afew more things....table sugar should be alright to use right? Will Pan.Cyans be ok on this stuff?
Well thats all I can think of for now, so any helpfull advise would be great.

I wouldn't skip the step of transferring. The reason is: You want to mix up a good batch if your doing it(.5 liter at least) and in order to get good accurate measurement you should do it in one container. Another reason is that you don't want to pour all that much agar solution into a jar. The mycelium is only 2-D. it doesn't penetrate the agar. why waste it on depth. If you want pyrex or kimax autoclavble petris...I have extras. I need to send a bunch out in fact.
