Looking to try something new.

I am going to be ordering spores and would like to know what is popular right now. I have grown B+, golden teacher and mexican and I would like to try something else that has a better trip and/or easier to grow. I have been using the brown rice tek method and was thinking about trying rye or finch seed. I have read people have been having problems with the finch seed, should I try it? Also what do you think about the Hydrapod and the filters for the jars? I am still using the rubbermaid with the clear plastic and fanning method. I want to get into a better terrarium but I don't have an outlet in my closet to provide for all of the fans, etc that is why I am still with the rubbermaid. Any info would be appreciated.

Well a while ago I just ordered Thai. Koh Samui., it was fully colonized in about 8 days, If i remamber right, and I am liking it so far, I cased with 50/50+ and their doing good. As far as the hydrapod, I wouldn't pay 170.00 bucks for it but, as the saying goes if u have more money that time .......... But there is test going on in advanced cultivation ( I think) on the hydrapod, and I suppose it look ok. I havn't tried MM Filters but hear they are great....

try growing some puerto ricans. i guess they are really potent and grow pretty damn well. i used finch seed and i liked it better since none of that measuring is required. just steep some of it for 45-50 min and then try to get most of the unsoaked water out and then add some verm till it has a nice moisture content. if you dont add the verm then this disgusting filmy puddle forms at the bottom and the jars will smell and youll have to put them out on the backporch to colonize : ( also make sure that you leave the lids a little loose while their cooling and never fully tighten them and leave them like that or when you open them up again the smell and little fruitflies starting swarming around them and then the flies try to get into youre terrarium!!! as for youre terrarium id recomend geting a humidifier and having an aquarium air pump (or two) pumping in fresh air. casing also helps ALOT!!!
it begins with an "m" and ends with an "ushroom"

.... Mine were just kept in the box they came in, with the cool little dividers, and that piece of cardboard that comes with it, stuck in a closet with a normal room temp of about79-85 deg. F. What size are his jars??
